Introduction
We are looking for a dynamic, driven, action-oriented driven individual with a strong balance of both analytical and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be a pivotal figure in expanding italki's user base within MENA Speaking Markets. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, capable of leveraging a mix of marketing channels to drive growth and engagement.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to lead regional strategic planning and drive the growth of the MENA market.
- Planning and execution of marketing activities. This includes campaigns, performance ads, social media, content, digital ads, email, blogs, affiliate networks, public relations, etc.
- Work with a cross-functional team to drive and prioritize product localization and operational needs
- Deliver on revenue and budget targets for digital marketing channels and programs.
- Identify gaps, trends, and influences that exist within the region. Provide information and insights to global HQ and recommend actionable solutions
- Develop strategies to scale operations in the region.
- Gather market intelligence on customers, competitors; provide local insights on key trends/growth segments; and translate insights into marketing programs
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of consumers in the MENA Market
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Analysis, Marketing, Finance, or Information Technology.
- Excellent English language communication skills, both oral and written.
- Deep knowledge of the MENA market
- Experience working in a startup environment. Ability to work independently
- Blend of creativity and analysis with a strong results-oriented, metrics-driven approach to problem-solving
- Experience managing external advertising agencies and freelancers
Plus
- Passion for languages and education;
- Language skills other than English
- Experience working in global companies with coworkers in multiple offices in different regions
- Start-up company background, prefer strong entrepreneurial mindset.
