The Role

Company

Magnolia is a conservation banking company. We earn environmental credits by restoring and protecting critical habitats and natural resources across the United States. Our clients use these credits to offset their environmental impacts, a process known as environmental mitigation. We’re fortunate to include among our partners all the largest renewable energy developers in the US, many state departments of transportation, and the US Department of Agriculture. This is a new model for conservation—one that doesn’t rely on public grants or private philanthropy and that marries the needs for economic development with environmental stewardship. We’ve conserved over 12,000 acres over the past five years. Learn more at our website: www.mitigation.org.

Location

This position will be based out of our Chicago office with potential for frequent travel. We have flexible work-from-home schedule; however, Conservation Land Analysts work from our offices at least 50% of the time. Position may entail regular travel to Philadelphia, which hosts Magnolia’s Northeast office.

About the Role

Magnolia is seeking a new team member to help scale our supply and network of mitigation properties across the country. The analyst position is a great entry point for exposure to all aspects of environmental markets and the company itself. The Conservation Lands Analyst will primarily report to the Land Manager at Magnolia. This role will have the opportunity to secure the conservation rights to some of the most impactful properties across the United States.

Magnolia offers the opportunity to wear many hats and make a meaningful contribution from day one, continuing education, flexible hours, unlimited PTO, medical and vision coverage, 401(k) match, and remote work.
