Financial Analyst

Responsibilities & progression

The role is responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial and regulatory statements, analyzing financial data, and providing insights to the management. They are also responsible for monitoring and controlling costs, taxes, and other aspects of the group's finances.

• Prepare FRR return (Type 1, 2, 4, 5, 9) and financial reporting under SFC regulatory standards;
• Handle daily accounting operations including AR/AP, general journal entries, bills and payments, bank reconciliations in compliance with the SFO and accounting standards timely and accurately;
• Analyze, interpret, and summarize financial information to prepare journal entries and account reconciliations;
• Liaise with external/internal parties on statutory audits, annual tax returns, and other accounting and finance matters;
• Perform and ensure the accuracy of monthly NAV reports, execute subscription and redemption for investors, reporting to the fund managers and wealth managers;

You will gain extensive exposure to the accounting and finance functions of SFC-regulated group companies and fund accounting experience. Successful candidates will move on to conduct financial analysis of the group and our project companies, liaise with inter-group parties, participate in and facilitate management or project discussions, and move to senior managerial positions.

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related discipline, track record of academic excellence;
• 1-3 years of accounting/auditing experience preferably with securities or investment firms, fresh graduate is also welcomed;
