The Role
Title: Network Engineer (mid-level)
Location: On site (no remote work) Washington DC
Full time: Yes, 40 hours/week
Clearance: TS/SCI required
Availability: Immediate
Recommended qualifications
- 5+ years experience in network administration and/or engineering work
- Experience creating and troubleshooting Virtual Private Networks tunnels (VPNs) - experience with tunneling technologies Strongswan or Anyconnect a plus
- CCNA certification a plus
- Experience with Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) and/or Cisco Firepower devices a plus
- Experience with Aruba VPN devices a plus
- Wide area and Local Area (WAN and LAN) troubleshooting experience a plus
- Experience with network firewalls and using Certificate Authorities (CAs) for VPN tunnel management a plus
- Familiarity with Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) - an NSA program - a plus
Job activities
Install and support SecureView clients - SecureView clients are highly secure workstations leveraging the latest hardware, VPN, and software security to allow multiple desktops with different security classification levels to run on a single PC or laptop.
Configure and support Cisco and Aruba VPN concentrators for SecureView VPN tunnels
Support install and configuration of SecureView "double tunnel" installation at DIA – including encryption components, design, upgrade, and support
Troubleshoot customer issues on workstations running SecureView including hypervisor, monitor configuration, peripheral settings, authentication issues, desktop issues, LAN settings, connectivity issues. Etc.
Participate in customer meetings to discuss deployments, support issues, upgrade planning, for workstations and wireless solutions etc.
Support other DIA-affiliated local customers such as JRIP sites and DIA sites in the DC metro area - in particular assisting with network LAN and WAN troubleshooting
Minimal travel - potentially for training or remote JRIP site visits
