Electronics/Electrical Engineer

ToMo Electronics & Design™ is an ambitious Consumer Electronics and Product Development Startup company that aims to make our mark in the existing and developing consumer electronics and smart devices market by filtering the devices we create through the lens of modern culture and style that is growing more prevalent in the tech industry. Our company’s flagship product, The ViLLas Smart Watch, is a device with an eco-system specially developed to provide a unique system of focus, time management & guidance to help users in the pursuit of their personal goals, interests, hobbies or side hustles, and ultimately allows users to invest more time in their selves.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
As our Lead Electronics Engineer/Technical Co-Founder, this individual will have overall responsibility for researching, designing, developing, documenting and coordinating major projects within program objectives. Working collaboratively with our team of engineers, production and marketing groups, the Electronics Engineer will apply sound and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments while operating with considerable latitude within project scope. You will work on:

-Mobile/IoT Electronics
-Circuit and PCB Design
-Board manufacturing and testing
-Other exciting electrical and hardware engineering tasks
-Perform other business development related duties as assigned

What we’re looking for in an ideal candidate:

-B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required;
-Professional or intermediate experience with circuit design and PCB layout outside of the university classroom
-Professional or intermediate experience in product development while working in a manufacturing environment
-Design for Manufacturing
-A person with experience in both circuit and PCB design
-Experience with Altium, OrCAD PCB design software or similar is desired
-Experience with any SPICE circuit building/simulation software is desired
-Experience with computer communication, USB, RS232, Ethernet, Bluetooth, Wi-fi
-Strong organizational skills
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Solves problems (doesn’t just observe them), and is driven to continually improve the company’s position and strategic growth efforts
-A sense of humor. (The work is demanding and rewarding, but we like to have fun, too)

BIG PLUSES

-Beginner, intermediate or professional knowledge of developing products of similar scope and complexity to current products
– Experience optimizing circuit for low power consumption
– Proficiency in Linux (C), iOS (Swift) and Android (Java)

Compensation: Negotiable ownership/equity as an official Co-Founder, and salary once seed funding has been secured
