We are seeking a Security Penetration Testing Lead to join our dynamic Security Testing dream team and take lead in performing security testing of applications, networks and infrastructures, including vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and manual testing techniques.

Grove Technologies is a Mac IT Support startup that is breaking into the vCISO / vCTO space and this is the perfect opportunity for someone who wants a flexible work schedule to grow in an agile, young, fun company. Position starts as a 1099 contractor and will grow into a full-time role as the client base expands.

Responsibilities

• Perform penetration tests on computer systems, networks and applications.
• Create new testing methods to identify vulnerabilities.
• Perform physical security assessments of systems, servers and other network devices to identify areas that require physical protection.
• Pinpoint methods and entry points that attackers may use to exploit vulnerabilities or weaknesses.
• Search for weaknesses in common software, web applications and proprietary systems.
• Research, evaluate, document and discuss findings with IT teams and management & Review and provide feedback for information security fixes.
• Establish improvements for existing security services, including hardware, software, policies and procedures.
• Identify areas where improvement is needed in security education and awareness for users.
• Be sensitive to corporate considerations when performing testing (i.e. minimize downtime and loss of employee productivity).
• Stay updated on the latest malware and security threats.

About You

• Previous working experience as a Penetration Testing Expert for 2 year(s).
• BA in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or similar relevant field.
• In-depth knowledge of application development processes and at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Java, Scala, C#, Ruby, Perl, Python, PowerShell).
• Hands on experience with testing frameworks such as the PTES and OWASP.
• Applicable knowledge of Windows client/server, Unix/Linux systems, Mac OS X, VMware/Xen, and cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Critical thinker and problem solver
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Outstanding communication abilities.
• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) a plus.
• Certified Penetration Tester (CPT) a plus.
• Licensed Penetration Tester (LPT) a plus.
• CompTIA PenTest+
