The Role

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-

  1. Work with company CEO and/or Director to strategically plan HR initiatives that will benefit the company and encourage more efficient and beneficial work from employees.
  2. Direct all hiring and training procedures for new employees.
  3. Continually educate employees on company policies (including sexual harassment, appropriate dress, and social media permissions, etc.) and keep employee handbook current.
  4. Administer or change benefits, health plans, retirement plans, etc.
  5. Monitor employee progress and stay abreast on company climate and culture, ensuring it stays positive and productive.
  6. Coordinate and direct work activities for managers and employees.
  7. Foster cross-functional relationships and ensure managers and employees are properly connected.
  8. Regularly meet with employees for progress reviews and assessments, discussing any problems or grievances they may have.
  9. Pomote a positive and open work environment where employees feel comfortable speaking up about issues.
  10. Manage and supervise other HR staff, ensuring they are assigned and carry out proper tasks.
  11. Understand and adhere to all pertinent labour laws.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCES AND KNOWLEDGE-

  1. Comfortable working in a highly visible role.
  2. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  3. Honest, ethical, and dependable.
  4. Experienced in mediation and conflict resolution processes.
  5. Positive, go-getter attitude/
  6. Expert stress management skills and ability to make important decisions under pressure.
  7. Attentive listener; understanding, empathetic, and personable.
  8. Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business administration, finance, or related field.
  9. Have a good knowledge and/or experience in Managing and using Google Client.
  10. Highly computer literate in Microsoft Suite (especially Excel) and various HR software programs including HRIS.
  11. A proven leader with strong interpersonal skills, keen to motivate and effectively educate and connect department managers and employees regarding all HR matters.
