Android Developer

We are looking to add an Android Developer to work remotely with the existing UK based team to further develop and own parts of the application. The work that you do will have a significant social impact.

*What you will do *

Pair and work closely with other developers within an agile environment

Develop usable features with accessibility in mind both in terms of UI and UX

Develop algorithms to support customised routing and wayfinding instructions

Integrate real-time city-wide transit related information

Working remotely, you will need to provide own infrastructure sufficient to deliver the project including access to various Android phones for test and development.

The ideal candidate

You will have experience in real-time processing with a good understanding of the limitations of the real-time and multi-threaded concepts on Android.

You understand core principles of navigation, mapping and routing.

Experience with 2D or 3D game engines on Android and mobile games development in general is particularly relevant.

You have experience developing applications that actively use voice and other accessibility features.
