We’ve created a new form of storytelling; real-time entertainment. Using a combination of text messages, social-style video and immersive world building, our stories are played and talked about by people all around the world. Our mission is to create the world's leading, mobile-first entertainment brand.

What we’re looking for…

We’re looking for an Android Developer that can help further the development of our new app. Alongside our Lead Android Developer and our CTO, you’ll be working to deliver new story features, using data and design to create a personalised experience, testing monetisation routes, and creating completely new experiences. You’ll be nodding as you read the below:

• Happy to work in Java and Kotlin
• 2 years+ experience working as an Android dev
• Experience with customer facing apps
• Deep knowledge of material design, design best practices, coding and naming guidelines
• Good knowledge of software design patterns and software architecture principles
• A passion for clean code
• Experience working in an environment where testing and optimisation is valued
• Experience in consuming APIs and knowledge of HTTP
• Some experience with any server-side technology (e.g. ASP.NET, PHP, node.js)
• Some Knowledge of unit and integration testing and CI and passion to continue this
• A passion for startups, we’re a small, cross functional team
• An interest in gaming or movies is a bonus

Preferred but not essential

• Experience working in MVVM
• Experience working with kotlin coroutines
• You’ll be someone who is happy to contribute new ideas and willing to take creative chances. You’re happy discussing data, creative and app optimisation all in the same day!
