Frederick DrapkinThe Role
We’re looking for a full time Chief Technical Officer to join our rapidly growing sports-tech startup, to take ownership over building a novel and exciting entertainment platform.
This is a unique opportunity to join an early-stage startup as part of the founding team that has already validated the concept and gained some traction. We are still a small team, but have raised two rounds of funding, launched our mobile app, and acquired several thousand users.
We operate a consumer-facing mobile app (built using Flutter and Firebase) and are also developing mobile and web SDKs, in order that we can license out the Tenner technology platform to other organisations.
This position will be paid a salary and will come with significant equity options to ensure you share in the success of the business.
About Us
Tenner is a startup based in London, building the next generation of second-screen entertainment.
We run free-to-play sports prediction games through our own iOS and Android mobile apps, and also build integrated solutions for sports organisations who use Tenner to engage and acquire their own fans. Our vision in the longer term is to build a powerful self-serve platform that organisations can use to set up customised fan engagement experiences within their own mobile and web apps.
The company was founded in January 2019 as part of the IMG Greenhouse program and has since closed two rounds of funding. Over the next year we're looking to scale both our own user base and our corporate partnerships, growing the team and our tech platform to cater to each.
Responsibilities
- Mobile App: You will build out our existing mobile app, working on features such as leaderboards, live chat, and social functionality. You will also be responsible for ensuring the application is scalable, and enhancing our reporting capability and dashboards.
- SDKs: You will be responsible for architecting generic and bespoke integrations we build for partners, allowing them to offer Tenner gameplay within their own mobile and web apps. You will also oversee the development of features built for these corporate clients, such as sponsorship promotion, merchandise sales, and custom game formats.
- Platform Management: You will be responsible for DevOps, the testing and releasing of our software, and platform security.
- Hiring & Management: As the company grows, you will need to hire and lead a technical team. You will identify roles we need to fill, and hire, train and manage all technical employees.
- Other responsibilities: Your priority will be to oversee the tech side of the business, but you will be required to get involved in other areas, such as business strategy, product design, and fundraising.
