The Role

Fellow is looking for a driven, self-starting and hardworking Business Operator with a strong track record of exceptional achievement to spearhead operations in our growing Toronto business. If this sounds like you, please apply!

Position Summary

As an Operator, you will gain valuable experience in operating your own business following a tried and true internally-developed business development methodology. In this role you will be exposed to all aspects of running a business including; recruiting, marketing, logistics, sales and day-to-day operations management. This role is key to supporting a fast-growing business by taking a hands-on approach to business management. Above all you will gain tangible business and leadership skills that will unquestionably serve as the foundation for future career growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work cohesively with senior management to develop and grow revenue, implement and or manage various operational strategies
  • Develop and suggests workflows and strategies to maximize production, revenue, and effectiveness
  • Manage the day-to-day of region-specific business operations, including logistics, finances, customer service, human resources
  • Oversee logistics including warehouse planning, storage organization and item management
  • Ensure client pick-ups and deliveries are met in timely fashions and meet internal cataloging processes and requirements
  • Lead, promote, and assume responsibility for loss prevention across risk management, physical security, inventory management and transaction accuracy
  • Ensure the store operations team members are equipped with the necessary knowledge, tools and skill sets
  • Build and develop best-in-class, client-centric teams. Continually evaluate the performance of each staff member, provide feedback to ensure results and address performance management issues in a timely manner

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and able to work under tight deadlines
  • Recent graduate or actively working towards a University degree
  • Experience in operations or logistics is an asset
  • Able to work both independently and in a team setting
  • Value driven and high emotional intelligence
  • Driver's License required
  • Able to comfortably lift at least 50 lbs

MORE DETAILS

  • This is a 6 month contract (April 1st - October 1st)
    • ~2 months full-time and ~4 month part-time (hours really depend on you)
  • There is the potential for continued part-time work after contract ends
