Ling LinThe Role
Who are we?
Grip exists because we think it’s weird that we only learn about our hormones when something is really wrong. 40% of people with ovaries suffer from hormonal issues, and today’s approach of ‘here’s what we do for the average person’ just doesn’t cut it. We believe you should get access to information about your body whenever and wherever you want.
Our first product focuses on fertility. We offer an at home fertility test which helps us understand who’s at risk of hormonal issues through a finger prick blood analysis. Grip is more than a test - we’re a community of people with ovaries who want to take control of their health, whether you want kids or not.
Grip’s founding team is made up of a doctor, an early stage investor, and an experienced product manager. The founding team has worked at Entrepreneur First, NHS, St. Antonius Hospital, Amazon, OnePlus, TransferWise, and Groupon. We are venture-backed by investors behind companies such as Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Entrepreneur First, and Songkick.
We are looking for an operations intern
We are looking for an ops intern to join our operations team. You will report to the Ops Lead. You are certainly not making coffee. You will be supporting our day to day operations, and be involved in everything from onboarding our customers, running our logistics, making sure orders are processed, coordinating with our lab partners, managing doctors’ appointments, etc.
You will be working in a small team and learn how a startup works from the inside. This will be a challenging but rewarding experience.
Your role is a unique opportunity to help Grip scale from servicing 1,000 customers to 100,000 customers to 1+ million customers, and help women around the world make better choices because they understand their hormonal health. You will be an essential part of Grip’s growth.
This will be a challenging but rewarding experience.
What you will be doing:
- Support our operation team in managing and ensuring our operations runs smoothly
- You make sure our customers receive correct test results
- You coordinate and manage our consultation doctors’ schedule
- You will assist the Ops lead in expanding our operations across Europe as we scale
- You are constantly looking for ways to optimize our processes and workflows
- You make sure we meet our internal operation SLAs/KPIs
- You will assist the Community and Customer Experience Manager in creating a strong community
- You collaborate with people across Grip to drive product and process improvements
Who you are:
- You're smart. That shows through either a degree (in progress) from a top tier university, or because you've found a different way to make the most of your time.
- You're analytical. You can tell us about times you used data to make a decision. You're comfortable with numbers, and you have a strong attention to detail.
- You like responsibility, and don't need hand-holding. You have experience running projects on your own.
- You are interested in female health, and you believe that it's time for healthcare to be proactive instead of reactive.
- You speak English and Dutch fluently. Huge plus if you also speak German
- You are available from February 1
What we offer:
- A paid internship (1,000 Euros a month gross salary)
- Direct exposure to our founders
- Be part of the founding team
- Amsterdam based (we’re next to the Bijenkorf!), remote working possible
- A Swapfiets
- Monthly full team dinners
- A chance to shape the future of women’s health
- A chance to change the way people with ovaries think about their hormones
The Grip test works for people with ovaries, but we welcome applications from all genders, orientations, and backgrounds.
Interested, email your CV to [email protected].
