We are seeking two senior full stack developer to join us as the core development team to shape and contribute to the core vision of the company in the smart home industry. You will be responsible for developing the framework and foundation of our smart home solution, providing our users an industry leading smart home control and automation capabilities.
The ideal candidate should have proven experience as a result-driven full stack engineer and will be expected to work in an agile environment with a DevSecOps mindset in design and coding. You will be working alongside with our co-founders in creating our MVP for product launch. Per-employee training budgets and paid industry conference attendance are some of the benefits of working with this team. Candidate with extensive knowledge and working experience with IoT and smart home automation is highly preferred.

You will be responsible for:
- Lead a full end-to-end development lifecycle of all components within our solution from design, development, testing, to operations
- Lead development efforts of various components such as server-client communications, cloud infrastructure and connectivity, and smart home device integrations.
- Contribute to product roadmap, design, research, prototyping and proof-of-concepts efforts as part of our collective vision
- Contribute and define our internal development process and maintain process documentations
- Develop and maintain a cloud infrastructure with a DevOps and orchestration/automation approach
Skillsets that we are seeking:
- 8+ years of proven work experience and relevant industry experience with ability to adapt and evolve with new technologies
- Mastery and proven results with two or more programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, or C++
- Mastery and proven results with frontend development with Vue, React, or Angular
- Mastery and proven results with backend development such as NodeJS (Express), Python (Flask), or Java (Spring)
- Mastery and proven results with mobile development (Hybrid, native iOS, or Android)
- Expertise and proven experience with DevOps best practices
- Expertise with design, implementation, and operation of APIs using GraphQL, OpenAPI, or gRPC
- Expertise in edge computing with Raspbian, light-weight Linux distributions, or single computing operating systems
- Expertise in data engineering with Pub/Sub as messaging-oriented middleware, SQL/NoSQL databases, and data pipelines
- Proficiency with modern version control systems such as GitLab, Github, or BitBucket
- Proficiency with testing automations tools such as Mocha, Unitest, Junit or equivalent
- Proficiency with CI/CD practices with tools such as Jenkins, Travis, CircleCI or equivalent
Desirable Skills:
- Proven experience as a DevSecOps champion or worked in a DevSecOps environment
- In-depth knowledge of application security best practices
- Proven experience with cloud infrastructure, orchestration, and automation
- Proven experience working with, leading, and/or contributing to open sourced projects
- Previous work experience in a lean and fast-pace startup environment as a full stack engineer
- Proven experience working with IoT devices and hardware
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Proven ability to create and maintain documentation throughout the software development lifecycle
