We are searching for a talented Senior Full Stack Engineer, located in timezones UTC-4 to UTC+8 hours. The Engineering team at Valence is a fully remote, world-wide team from the ground up. You will be a part of our team, building our web product.

You

You’re a senior engineer who has built and operated complex web applications on an agile team for 6+ years. You probably have experience with and enjoy working on:

-Designing new features to fulfill product user stories.
-Delivering vertical slices that cover frontend, API, backend, and DB.
-Mentoring junior engineers, reviewing code, collaborating on code.
-Testing and building robust test and deployment systems and processes.
-Remote teams

Our front-end is built in Typescript/React, and our back-end is PHP and Laravel. Ideally you have experience in one or both of these technologies, but that isn’t a requirement! We expect that engineers can learn and pick up tools they need to use. We also know that although you are a full stack developer, you probably have a bit more experience in either back-end or front-end; that’s normal.

As a senior engineer, you’re a critical and creative thinker, a strong communicator, an owner, and are able to balance trade offs like quality and speed.

Finally, you’re probably excited about working at a startup and having more ownership over your work.

Work Location
