Android Engineer

We are looking for a team-member to be a part of our flagship Android mobile applications team.

What will you do:

Unlike much larger companies, where work is restricted to one small piece of the company’s technology, at Digii you will influence our mobile ecosystem, from design to production. Your specific responsibilities will include:

• Contribute to development of the flagship Digiicampus native Android app, and future apps
• Integrate with backend services to deliver great mobile UX at blazing performance
• Improve code quality through writing unit tests, automation and code reviews
• Contribute in brainstorming sessions on the future of Education
• Work with our Data Scientist on core algorithms and data analytics
• Work with the product and design team to understand end-user needs & requirements
• Translate user stories into a development schedule and deliver world class solutions
• Wear multiple startup hats and dive into other product, marketing, growth areas

What we are looking for:

• You should have 3+ years of recent hands-on development with experience in mobility apps or solutions, or large scale web enterprise or consumer applications.
• Solid software design knowledge – you should know how to create software that’s extensible, reusable and meets desired architectural objectives
• Experience with Java and a willingness to learn new technologies (e.g. Kotlin, Flutter)
• Back-end technology experience including integrating with RESTful APIs
