Finance Head

Job Responsibilities

Lead the finance function, which means​ handling accounting & treasury, compliance, financial reporting and international finance. The person will report to the founders of the Company and the trajectory for this role is to be CFO of the Company within 3-5 years.

Details below:

Accounting / Treasury

- Take full responsibility for maintaining company's books of accounts, as per stated revenue recognition and expenses policy.
- Put in place lean financial controls and systems where necessary without compromising on start-up nature of company
- Manage the receivables of the Company and ensure timely collection from customers and partners
- Maintain relationships with bankers and negotiate ​best products​
- Negotiate best possible deals with vendors
- Manage surplus cash from investments through optimal investments in liquid assets

​Compliance​

- Ensure statutory compliance on GST, Income Tax, TDS, Companies Act and other​ financial​ laws
- Act as the liaison between the Company and its statutory auditor and company secretary

Financial reporting

- Prepare management reports to founders and investors on a monthly basis
- Build financial​ models for budgeting and future company financing

International finance

- Design global company structure for optimal taxation and for maximising operational efficiencies
- Lead efforts in formation of group companies worldwide (most likely Middle East and / or USA)
​- Design and implement an optimal currency risk mitigation practice​
- Ensure compliance on international taxation laws

What we look for?

- A Chartered Accountant, with 3-5 years of experience
- Experience in working with software / SAAS companies and exposure to similar revenue and expense recognition policies will be an added plus
- Thorough knowledge of Indian direct and indirect taxation laws
- Supreme comfort with technology (mastery of Excel will be taken for granted)
- Experience in building financial models
- Should be energetic, open to feedback and keen to learn
