Job Summary:
The VoIP/Network Engineer Intern at Nume will play a critical role in managing and enhancing our VoIP infrastructure. This position involves troubleshooting, configuring, and maintaining our VoIP systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. You will work closely with our team to resolve any network issues, port numbers, and liaise with SIP trunk and VoIP providers, such as 3CX. This internship is ideal for candidates who are interested in network engineering and telecommunications and wish to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of the company’s VoIP phone system, including troubleshooting, testing, and configuration changes.
• Handle number porting, ordering new numbers, and coordinating with telecommunications providers.
• Escalate and resolve issues with SIP trunk providers and VoIP services.
• Recommend and implement improvements to the existing VoIP infrastructure.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers and service providers to ensure service quality and reliability.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with a focus on networking and telecommunications.
• Familiarity with VoIP technologies, SIP protocols, and network configuration.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
