Executive Vice President of Engineering

Overview

• Paraforge is seeking an Executive level Engineer/Developer to lead its initiatives in the design, development, and deployment of its technology solutions. As a leader of Software Engineering, you will be responsible for owning and directing our technology offerings as it relates to core solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own the development and implementation of technologies related to core solution offerings
• Design and integrate technology applications that are resilient, robust, and handle scale across multiple platforms
• Identify and improve on existing full stack solutions both for internal business partners and external client solutions
• Maintain, integrate, and optimize the core technology stack for future development
• Build deployment pipelines for rapid deployment to production
• Work with key stakeholders and department leads on growth opportunities
• Lead the software engineering team and human capital components
• Advise business clients and IT management of technology capabilities and recommend strategies to maximize the benefits of new technologies

Experiences/Qualifications

• Demonstrated exceptional experience working on full stack projects and application development
• Deep understanding of front and backend programming and scripting languages: Javascript, HTML, CSS, React, Python
• Must have: Expert in the Python ecosystem and industry application of Pythonic frameworks.
• Experience with Cloud Computing Solutions such as Azure
• Good understanding of Version Control Systems
• Experience working with RMDBs such as flavors of MS SQL Server and TSQL programming
• Strong understanding of SDLC and development frameworks

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of team, demonstrating accountability
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Spanish, German, or Mandarin a plus)
• Ability to interact with a remote team spread out across different time zones
• Flexibility in working hours to complete projects on schedule
• Technology exposures/experiences: o DASH (Highly Preferred), Cpanel, Streamlit, Django, Flask, FastAPI o ML & AI such as Pytorch, NLP, Tensorflow, H2oAI o PyQT5, QT Designer o Docker o GIT(Github/Bitbucket) o Azure Cloud Solutions o CI/CD tools: Octopus Deploy, TeamCity o Database Programmability: functions, stored procedures, triggers
• Experience working in financial services, Fintech, public and private markets highly preferred
• An advanced certification, charter, or designation related to the role or industry preferred: Phd, MBA, CAIA, CFA, FRM, FDP a plus
