Winnow was founded in London in 2013 to help the hospitality industry prevent food waste through internet of things tools in the kitchen. We have worked with hundreds of sites and are operating in over 30 countries around the world supported by our offices in London, Dubai, Shanghai, Singapore, Romania and North America. We are a rapidly growing company with a strong base of clients who are rolling out our system globally. We have blue-chip customers including Accor Hotels, IKEA, IHG, Marriott, Compass Group and many others.
Winnow’s clients on average reduce waste by over 50% by value and sustain savings. Winnow has now worked with hundreds of sites to reduce food waste, including hotels, universities and schools, staff restaurants, event/hospitality kitchens, buffets, pubs, and high street restaurants. Where the system is permanently adopted, pre-consumer waste value is reduced by 50% - 70% with no detrimental impact to the perceived quality or value of the offer to their customers. This represents a typical improvement of food cost savings of 3% to 8%, commonly a 40%+ increase in profitability for operations.

About the role
Due to increasing business demand, an exciting opportunity exists for a talented and driven Business Development Manager to join the team to drive our Enterprise sales across Spanish Resorts. The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing sales opportunities within large enterprise accounts. This role demands a high level of strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and the ability to navigate complex sales cycles. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in B2B sales, with a deep understanding of enterprise customers' needs and challenges.
Reporting to the Managing Director for EMEA, this role will be based in London and be one of a global team of 25 (consisting of sales, marketing and operations spread over 5 locations).

Key objectives

• Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within enterprise accounts. Understand their business needs and objectives to align our solutions effectively.

• Sales Strategy: Review and develop the Business Development strategy within the Spanish Resorts. Expand existing accounts, building on past successes to roll out across entire portfolio. Identify routes into our target clients and build C suite-level relationships. Deliver new business through running large scale pilots with major customers and converting them into broader rollouts across their estates. Develop strategies for winning and growing our business with major clients, ensuring we obtain the buy-in of the full decision making unit

• Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations, coordinate complex decision-making processes, and overcome objections to capture new business and close deals.

• Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including product, marketing, and customer success, to ensure customer needs are met and to drive account growth.

• Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends and product knowledge to position our offerings effectively. Monitor closely the activities of competitors and look to possible co-operations or acquisitions

• Revenue Targets: Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and objectives within the Resorts enterprise sector

• Reporting: Provide accurate and timely reports on sales activity, pipeline, forecasts, and account status to leadership.

• Brand Awareness: Represent Winnow taking speaking opportunities at conferences and events to drive sales and grow our network

Requirements

• Experience in SaaS sales will be welcomed. You are proven in successfully navigating the sales cycle and in creating urgency and progression to drive sales swiftly to a close

• Experience selling to hospitality and primarily Resorts a plus

• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a complex sales environment.

• Strong understanding of enterprise sales processes and long sales cycles.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

• Ability to build relationships and influence at all levels within an organization.

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

• Proficiency in CRM software and sales automation tools.

• Willingness to travel as required.

• You are likely to be degree educated

• Language requirements: fluency in English and Spanish. Fluency in an additional European language is desirable.
