Job Title: Full-time, Brand Strategist

Are you passionate about data, details, and forging connections? Join Moore Group and support the growth of leading brands on Amazon. We value autonomy and thrive on personal connections with brand partners.

The main function of this role consists of growing a portfolio of brand partners on Amazon. Familiarity with Amazon and retail is a plus, but not required.

About Moore Group:
Founded in 2015, Moore Group has grown rapidly in the Amazon space. We partner with leading consumer brands to grow their market share.

We are passionate about what we do and the products we carry. We share a vision for what our brand partners can achieve with us. If you’ve ever grown tired of seeing lackluster, low-quality products in your online searches, Moore Group is the company that is fighting against those products. We partner with amazing brands and help take their premier products to the top.

There are more than 1 million sellers on the Amazon platform, but there are very few that have built the infrastructure, proprietary software tools, and industry connections that Moore Group has.

About the Role:
The role of the Brand Strategist is to create and execute strategies for our brand partners to increase each brand’s revenue, profitability, and market share. You will be directly responsible for the performance of brands in your portfolio.

Achieving results for each brand will require detailed research into their representation on Amazon along with the competition, including various forms of qualitative and quantitative analysis. You will be supported by a team of data analysts with deep familiarity with the Amazon ecosystem and Amazon metrics.

Developing a plan is only the first step, as you will be tasked with executing the plan with other employees on a multi-month (or multi-year) timeline. Constant evaluation is required to make speedy changes based on recent performance.

A core aspect of this role revolved around forging personal relationships with your contacts. This role is 1 part data analyst, 1 part people person, 1 part juggler & planner.

You will report directly to the COO.

Job Duties:
Each brand’s strategy will be unique and require interactions with the brand to better understand its operations. Developing a brand strategy will include:

  • Regular communication with Brand Partner contacts and scheduled virtual, along with semi-annual/irregular in person meeting opportunities.
  • Coordination with the Purchasing Department to glean insights about brand performance, translating that to succinct insights for Brand Partners.
  • Coordination with the Brand Manager and Sales Director to collect operational information from the brand, such as product availability and lead times, promotional pricing, and logistic details.
  • This will include identifying opportunities to negotiate (and often, negotiating first-hand) on subjects such as pricing, product allocation, approved sellers, MAP policies, payment terms, and more.
  • Deep quantitative and qualitative research into the brand’s performance, identifying growth opportunities on broad and detailed levels.
  • Regular monitoring and execution of the strategy.
  • This is a hands-on role! You will play a role in creating plans and executing with other key employees. This often requires making quick changes based on data.

The end result of the Brand Strategist’s work is sustained growth for the brands in their portfolio and deepened personal relationships. Each strategy will be executed over multi-month, multi-year timeframes while requiring daily attention to achieve long-term results.

This role comes with many challenges. The brands, economy, consumer trends, and Amazon’s ecosystem change frequently and rapidly. Having a pulse on each brand is key to success: you must be “up in the clouds” and “down in the dirt”.

Compensation
Base Salary: $80,000
Benefits:

  • Health Insurance, Eligible at 60 days -- 75% employer coverage
  • 401k + matching -- Eligible at 1 year -- 3% employer match
  • PTO
  • 80 hours accrued per year
  • Annual company retreat
