We are looking for a Supported Learning Funding Administrator for our client based in Tower Hamlets, London.
PURPOSE OF JOB:
To provide flexible, accurate and professional administrative support to the Supported Learning team and associated functions of this area of work which will enable effective tracking, monitoring and financial assessment of our HNS/AEB students.
Tracking and monitoring of High Needs funding, AEB funding and additional learning support on specific external software packages highlighting concerns and discrepancies to the senior team.
General administrative duties that will ensure contract compliance for relevant funding agencies and local authorities. To maintain and where necessary improve the integrity of student data, analysing, interpreting and producing reports.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In common with all other staff:

2. In common with all other staff:
2.1 To participate in College-wide projects and tasks.
2.2 To work in other support services areas to meet the specific needs of workload peaks.
2.3 Such other duties of a similar nature commensurate with the grade as may be required from time to time. This may/will require working in other campuses of the College.
3. Particular to the Post:
3.1 To adhere to relevant staff policies and the college’s professional code of conduct and to always perform your duties in a professional manner being mindful of confidentiality as appropriate.
3.2 Set up, maintain and update relevant software specific to the provision, tracking and monitoring of High Needs funding, AEB funding and additional learning support.
3.3 Liaise with all relevant parties, including learners, parents/carers, external agencies with regards to additional learning support.
3.4 Provide support and information to the Supported Learning SCM, HNS
Contracts and Borough Liaison Manager, GCD and DGCD.
3.5 Set up and maintain systems to allocation learning support to SEND and mainstream teachers centrally, using relevant software including liaising with relevant staff.
3.6 General admin duties such as answering emails, invoicing, filing, post, telephone enquiries, etc checking and clearing invoices for payment in line with the college procedures and passing for approval for the GCD.
3.7 Deal with day to day enquiries from learners coming to Supported Learning, as well as correspondence and queries for all Supported Learning learners.
3.8 To collate information regarding appointments for learners who require Exam Access Arrangements.
3.9 Organise dates/times for the Supported Learning Annual Reviews for the learner, parent/carer, local authorities, teacher, Supported Learning SCM.
3.10 Responsible for ensuring all learner records are verified and amended in order to validate the ILR on a termly basis in order to meet internal and external deadlines. Advising teachers on a course of action regarding learner status.
3.11 Developing and maintaining booking systems for meeting rooms, media and other essential equipment. Responsible for the safekeeping and security of IT equipment.
3.12 Be available to assist in enrolment procedures.
3.13 An understanding of and commitment to Equality and Diversity and
Safeguarding and practical ideas for their implementation in this post.
4. Person Specification:
4.1 Good standard of education especially in English and Maths (Grade 4 or above) and IT.
4.2 A willingness to undertake further training in the use of all relevant applications and software, along with other generic training that will prove necessary for the post.
4.3 Up to date knowledge of High Needs and AEB funding and its context.
4.4 Demonstrate broad knowledge base and understanding of administrative systems and procedures.
4.5 Ability to use effective oral communication skills both by telephone and face to face.
4.6 Ability to apply written communication skills including drafting correspondence and taking messages.
4.7 Ability to work as a member of a team and to establish effective working relationships.
4.8 To store, retrieve and set up systems of work.
4.9 Ability to prioritise workload.
4.10 Flexible approach to work and change.
4.11 Ability to work as part of a team and with people at all levels within the college.
4.12 Knowledge of the education sector and the importance of learner care and success.
