Aleksandar PajkanovicThe Role
Intensivate is a startup, building the world’s most efficient analytics processor (https://intensivate.com). The chip technology we are bringing to the market gives users 12x (twelve times) more computation per dollar of TCO. It will transform analytics and database workloads.
The has been designed using a research tool that comes out of UC Berkeley, called FireSim. It is a cycle-accurate hardware-software co-simulation environment that runs on FGPAs in AWS and enables us to measure full datacenter performance precisely (including network and disk bottlenecks between emulated servers), before tapeout. https://fires.im https://docs.fires.im/en/stable/FireSim-Basics.html
We are looking for someone who understands hardware, and wants to work on the internals of that tool to make it work for our chip and environment.
No prior tool experience required, just software development and an understanding of hardware details -- what is bit twidling, registers, MMIO, that sort of thing.
