CTO/Lead Developer

Open Billiards is on the verge of launching nationally as an extremely industry disruptive pool league/tournament hybrid. Due to demand and growth anticipation, the workload has simply become far more than the original founder (a professional pool player with 17 years experience in the web development world) can handle. We're currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of CTO and lead developer. The company started entirely self-funded and is expected to be profitable upon launch. Salary and equity are available.

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience with LAMP stack development
• 5+ years experience with cross-platform mobile app development
• 5+ years experience with team leadership/management (the development team is expected to expand to 5-10+ within the first 6-24 months)
• Working knowledge and experience with RESTful APIs and web/mobile integration
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate efficiently with 3rd party providors

Preferred:

• Some knowledge of the pool/billiard world
• Flexibility for travel on rare occasions, if necessary
• Interview experience for recruiting additional team members

The company started in Dallas, TX, but the corporate office is opening soon in Las Vegas, NV, so relocation might be required with the possibility of relocation assistance or a signing bonus.
