Paperplanes are on the lookout for a talented, hard-working and tenacious individual to take accountability of our analytical offering. This is an exciting time to be joining the team at Paperplanes. We are looking to disrupt both the direct mail and digital marketing spaces through combining the best aspects of marketing automation and data-driven marketing with the incredible effectiveness of direct mail as a channel. In order to do this we use world-leading insights and analytics to deliver real value for clients, providing clients with an incredible opportunity for growth. We have continually built revenue and have grown the client base 150% YOY.
We have just secured £500k of seed equity funding and are now expanding our team to help take us to the next level. This an ideal time to join a start-up on the ground floor and be an active contributor to building something ground-breaking and specially unique.
Within this role you will have accountability of all campaign analytics strategy, have the know-how to create data analytical systems and have a desire to upskill in Machine earning and/or Data Engineering for web applications. If it involves data, it is in your remit!
• Creating new automated targeting cells for programmatic direct mail campaigns
• Maintenance and incremental improvements of the Paperplanes analysis suite
• Strategy: Lead the vision of the analytics we need to show to our clients
• Evaluation and improvement of internal tools and processes
• Deliver the highest possible level of service to clients ensuring:
o Client projects are always completed to agreed timescales and quality levels
o The client values Paperplanes contribution to their business
o We over deliver on clients expectations
o Operational manuals are used and kept up to date for each Account
o Internal processes are as efficient as possible, ultimately maximising Account profitability
o All analysis is accurate, QC’d correctly and supported by suitable interpretation
o The Paperplanes approach to data marketing and client management is always followed
o All data practices completed are compliant with internal data management processes
• Work with the Account team to produce and present proposals as necessary
Main objectives:
• To deliver quality analysis and interpretation that is right first time, delivered on time and in a way which the client finds useful and insightful
• To support the wider CSA team in the delivery of Paperplanes service in a user-friendly manner
You may be required you to carry out other duties within your reasonable competence
At certain times, it may be necessary to work outside normal office hours to deliver to agreed deadlines
Prerequisites & Experience:
Required:
• At least 5 years’ experience in Database Marketing, Digital Reporting, Display Analytics or other applicable Analytics environment (client or service side) or database reporting environments
• Solid data analysis and interpretation skills
Preferred:
• Knowledge of database marketing principles such as Basket Analysis, Decision Tree’s, Regression Analysis and Clustering preferred but not essential
Technical Skills:
Deep knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL
Required:
• Relational database principles - data structures, field types, data types, primary / foreign keys etc.
• General data manipulation - designing select / update / append / make table query’s using T-SQL or Access
• Experience of Web Analytics and Digital Attribution of marketing channels
Preferred:
• Knowledge of C#, Python, Power BI
• Knowledge of Google Data Studio
• Experiences with Machine Learning principles
• Experience of working with Amazin Web Services
