The Role

We are looking for an experienced Expansion Manager to be in charge of setting up BFREE Philippines. The role entails company incorporation, applying for all necessary business permits and licenses, sales to Financial Institutions (Commercial Banks, Microfinance Banks, Lenders), partnering with BFREE verified BPOs, driving the implementation of Operational process with support from our group Ops team. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the day to day activities of our business, while living, shaping, and creating our BFREE culture in the Philippines as we expand.

The perfect candidate has experience in investment banking/top-tier consulting (MBB) and/or a fast paced start-up environment (your sister’s hair boutique does not count unless you have successfully scaled it to 5 countries in a year), preferably with a strong B2B exposure to financial institutions. You have to be able to build meaningful relationships with key decision makers in financial institutions; better if you have these relationships already. Responsibilities

  • Validate business plan assumptions and cost structure of market entry
  • Drive Sales to key financial institutions in the Philippines, facilitate & manage smooth onboarding of clients & grow the customer relations.
  • Set up a legal entity (i.e., company incorporation, obtaining business permits and licenses, opening of a bank account, etc...)
  • Identify & partner with BPOs with solid processes, and suitable office infrastructure. BPO arrangement must fall under positive unit economics, hence cost competitive.
  • Co-manage our Operations with the support from our global Ops team
  • Hire & supervise key roles such as HR Manager, QA Manager, Team Leads, IT Manager
  • Be able to go from “insight to action” and actually start things up

Requirements

  • Entrepreneurial mind
  • A background in Investment Banking/ Top Tier Consulting (MBB) or Fast growing tech startup
  • A Minimum of 5 years management experience
  • Excellent sales experience to financial institution
  • Team player with the ability to work with fast growing teams
  • Experience in the lending space - preferred
  • Excellent English and Filipino communication skills
  • Strong network connections with lenders and banks
