The Role

CIC seeks a personable and organized individual to support our events program. This is an exciting, full-time opportunity for someone with at least 1-2 years of experience in a hospitality, communications, or event role.

Please note that this role requires availability from 12:30/1:00 pm through 8:30/9:00 pm Monday through Friday, and some weekend work will be required.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WORK
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinating event details from initial request to follow up (vetting requests, creating quotes or sponsorship agreements, creating invoices, collecting payments, collecting Certificates of Insurance, ensuring all event details are clear and in line with CIC policies, and managing event follow-up and evaluation.

• Co-Hosting events: on site during events to support the host; and acting as a CIC representative, host, and people connector.
• Arranging furniture in the event space to meet the needs of the event host.
• Setting up and troubleshooting AV equipment for events, livestream, and podcast recording.
• Working with building management, cleaning staff, and security to keep spaces secure and clean.
• Working alongside your Event team members to coordinate biannual events for CIC staff.
• Using event CRMs and marketing tools such as Tripleseat, Hubspot, Eventbrite, etc to organize, promote, and collect metrics from events.

Physical activities on the job: Frequent use of hands for fine motor work and mid to full vision. This position regularly includes hosting events in our spaces, necessitating moving around our spaces and lifting/moving AV equipment, tables, and chairs. This position also requires significant time working on a computer and navigating between different documents and platforms.

You will primarily work with the other members of the CIC MA Events team, but will also frequently engage with other CIC teams such as Concierge, Operations, Marketing and Sales.

YOU HAVE
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 1-2 years of full-time professional experience, ideally in events, hospitality, or communications.
• Availability from 12:30/1:00 pm - 8:30/9:00 pm each day, Monday through Friday.
• Availability and willingness to work on weekends.
• A natural interest in helping and supporting others.
• An interest in a long-term role; we are a growing company, and we like to hire people who can grow with us.

As of August 2021, a condition of employment for all new CIC employees in the U.S. is full COVID-19 vaccination, more details will be shared during the interview process.
