Trellus is the digital main street for America’s multifamily and commercial real estate lenders. Through our marketplace platform, we connect commercial real estate owners and investors with lenders, bringing unprecedented levels of transparency to a market that historically has been opaque and difficult for investors to navigate.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled CTO / Head of Engineering to manage the entire stack of the Trellus web application. The CTO / Head of Engineering will work closely with the founders of Trellus to brainstorm, prioritize, and develop new features as we roll out the product to initial markets this spring. It is expected that the CTO / Head of Engineering has an interest in pursuing the startup full-time starting in May 2021.

Qualifications

• Experience building web applications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Entrepreneurial spirit
• Familiarity with React, Next.js, Python, and Flask preferred
• BS/BA in computer science or a related field with May 2021 graduation or earlier; will also consider applicants who are willing to drop out to pursue Trellus full-time starting May 2021
• Design experience a plus
• Several years of experience in leading tech companies a plus
• Master’s degree in engineering or computer science a plus
