The Role

The Estate planning industry is a multi-billion dollar vertical that has yet to go through a digital evolution. With recent world events, that needs to change in order to meet both consumer and industry demands. Introducing ReadyWhen, a secure digital platform that makes Estate planning simple, secure and fast. We have developed a secure solution that has been built by industry experts, is trustworthy/safe and provides a stress-free experience so all critical information can be accessed when it's needed the most.

We are in the early days and looking for talented individuals who want to be a part of estate-tech history. We are looking for people who aren’t afraid to roll up their sleeves, deal with the challenges that come with a start-up and always see the glass half full.

We are looking for a Business Development Manager who is passionate about selling and dealing with problems head on. In this role you will seek out companies, build lasting relationships, use technology and data to drive sales and the company forward. Reporting directly to the Market Sales Director, you will work with a growing team of talented sales people to build a pipeline that ultimately will help millions of people protect their legacy and loved ones.

You need to love startup environments and be located in the Vancouver, BC area.

What you will be doing:

  • Identify opportunities within the financial planning vertical and grow business within a specified sales territory
  • Build and maintain long term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Promote, educate and train professionals onto the ReadyWhen platform
  • Develop and manage sales goals and targets
  • Provide client feedback and support
  • Identify opportunities and grow business within sales territory
  • Provide product feedback to help shape the future of ReadyWhen
  • Leverage data to inform sales decisions
  • Conduct Zoom / Boardroom presentations

What we’re looking for:

  • At least 1+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport and establish relationships with various industry professionals
  • Self-motivated, driven with strong time management and planning skills
  • Collaborative mindset with a passion for technology
  • Looking to become a vital part of a growing company
  • Valid driver's license

Bonus points if you have:

  • Knowledge or strong connections to the financial planning community within BC
  • Have experience with Salesforce
