Devoir Oblige Capital Group, LLC is looking to hire an experienced Operations Manager to join our team in our Phoenix office. We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager, preferably with experience in the servicing of defaulted, non-GSE mortgages.

This position has the potential to turn into a Director of Operations role which would then replace one of the current principals in the next 36 months!

As a key member of our (small!) team, you will have an integral role in shaping the future of our entire operation.

We are a 3rd-year start-up that specializes in the purchase and resolution of distressed debt secured by real estate, residential or commercial, in 11 west coast/rocky mountain states. We focus on incorporating enterprise-level technology to allow us to create seamless processes and workflow between our teams.

Responsibilities
Oversees daily operations to ensure compliance with all company, state, and federal guidelines
Act as direct backup to the Servicing Manager
Work directly with the executive team on all manner of projects and tasks
Oversee the closing of new acquisitions
Streamline systems and processes
create new processes where necessary
Coordinate with managing partner entity in Puerto Rico
Review workout plans (ie. Loan mods, Deed-in-lieu, Short Pay-offs etc)
Create and track departmental and company metrics to discover operational efficiencies
Requirements

5+ years mortgage experience- Non-GSE default servicing preferred
At least 3 years experience in management positions
Underwriting|Title|Trustee Sale experience
Extreme accuracy and attention to detail!!
Proficient with Microsoft Office products
Adaptable – We are in a growth phase and things change quickly
Ability to multi-task and follow through to completion
Knowledge of Mortgage Banking and trends in Loss Mitigation- Specifically as it relates to Collections, Bankruptcy, Workouts, Foreclosure, Loan modification Programs, etc.
Ability to conceptualize and establish operational and control enhancements for computer systems
Proven experience motivating, coaching, monitoring and evaluating staff performance
Desired (but not required)

Bi-lingual
Prefer 10 years combined experience in Mortgage Banking, Insurance, Collections, Loss Mitigation, and/or other related fields
Knowledge of state and federal foreclosure and eviction laws
