Special Projects Engineer/Developer (3-5 months contract)

About Us

We are looking for pragmatic yet meticulous personalities to join our team. We are a close knit team, and we work hard but also have a lot of fun. As an early team member you will be working in a startup environment with significant independence and at lightning speed, pushing updates to production daily. You'll get the chance to have direct input into shaping the products. We are in the process of building an ecommerce app to complement our current focus on UK SMEs customer base.

Special Projects is a unique role where you will be working on specific project deliverable and the product is usually very different from our core day to day engineering work. We are hiring on a temporary 3 months contract but there is scope to go full time at the end. If you go full time, you will participate in the ESOP (4 years vesting, 1 year cliff and the temporary contract period will be converted to the normal probation time on our full time contract)

You need to be able to:

Write Django/Python and have knowledge of React/React Native
Know how to work with and build APIs
Have strong communication skills
Degree in Computer Science from a reputable university
Prior work experience as an engineer

Experience with Expo building React Native Apps

Position is in London, UK. However, due to Covid, can work from home remotely. The applicant must be UK based and have UK work authorisation. We cannot support any non-UK remote engineer but you can be remote if in the UK.
