Product Owner — Automation (FinCrime)

ABOUT THE TEAM
The Financial Crime Technology department is at the forefront of Revolut’s efforts to keep customers and their money safe. Through the intelligent development and deployment of technology, we aim to prevent financial crime more effectively than traditional banks.
We operate in small, nimble teams that are built for scale, speed, and quality. Each unit is responsible for a different pillar of fincrime, giving you the chance to have a real impact on crucial problems that affect millions of people around the world.

WHAT WE NEED 
We’re looking for someone who can see what’s broken in the financial crime industry, someone who has a burning itch to fix it, and all they’re missing is the means and resources to do it. If financial crime seems like an eminently fixable problem to you, keep reading. 
In more boring detailed terms, we’re looking for a Product Owner for our Automation team to work within our financial crime technology team in London. By working alongside data scientists, investigators, and product managers, you’ll be expected to think critically, build efficient solutions, and take a high degree of responsibility over the detection and reduction of financial crime.
Be warned, this is a very hands-on role!

Our team is highly technical and detail-oriented, and we love to get down into the nitty-gritty to make the best possible experience.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING 
Designing slick flows from a mobile and web point of view to ease the work of our financial crime staff while giving customers a great experience as we meet regulatory requirements
Optimise and automate
Build automated flows with a keen eye on financial crime compliance and best practices
Develop innovative solutions which make our genuine customers happy, and fraudsters mad
Working hands-on with the teams to reach financial crime best practice
Juggling multiple high value projects

WHAT SKILLS YOU'LL NEED 
You see what’s broken in the industry and have a desire to fix it
You are results driven, pragmatic, and detailed
You have worked with developers in the past and can give detailed specifications
You are good with SQL (or Python, SAS and R) - you’ll get better at it while working here, if not!
You have coded in a past life and brought systems into production with high impact
You are known to be a steady hand and calm under fire
You have an acute love for problem solving
You are able to make both short term and long term decisions
You can explain complex things very easily
