Lead - Mobile Application Developer

MyPay is an international company with a suite of solutions for Payment Gateways and E-commerce. Our main purpose is to enable small businesses to take advantage of modern payment technologies in these challenging times, lowering the cost of entry to a competitive marketplace.

As our product offering matures, we are seeking a Lead Mobile Developer with knowledge of handling and building complex apps, with previous experience of the financial sector or payments preferred. The candidate will work closely with the senior development managers, QAs, product owner and support agents to lead our current mobile team. You are required to have great energy and people management skills, be able to work in an agile environment, and also to be able to deliver and help us to foresee future challenges and opportunities. We’re working on market-leading solutions and require a candidate with vision and talent.

Your day-to-day role:
Work with Business Analysts and Managers to build our product roadmap
Reach our product roadmap milestones
Create and maintain high quality, test-driven code
Report on progress to business and product owners
Ensure the platform can handle large number of users
Maintain the platform and partner relationships
Seek out and implement solutions and alternatives for technical challenges
Create a stable, supportive team environment

You will need to bring:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, online courses or any related field, or relevant commercial experience to an equivalent level
We use React Native with some custom Native modules, so you will have to have experience in managing and building mobile Android/IOS Apps, using at least JavaScript and React Native
Kotlin/Java and Swift experience would make us very happy
Experience in developing secure apps, handling payments
Experience in team leadership
Knowledge and experience of the e-Commerce sector
Preferably you will have some start-up experience
Great project management skills
Excellent written and spoken English skills
The ability to present work & communicate ideas
Workload prioritisation skills in line with tight deadlines
Reasoning and analytical ability
