Senior Front End Developer (REACT)

About this position

We are looking for a senior front end engineer with a sharp eye for detail. Do you care about accessibility, collaborative API design and providing a seamless experience to your customers? Are HTML and CSS just as important to you as the latest JavaScript framework? Do you enjoy mentoring other developers and architecting front end platforms and tooling? Our front end applications are all written in React, with Gabsy for static-site rendering and SPAs for our dashboard apps.

Key Areas Of Responsibility

• Write clean, modern code and deliver it to stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Monitor and analyse the success of features you deliver to production via analytics and customer feedback.
• Write tests to ensure that the code you deliver will not negatively impact the user experience.
• Document code, systems and processes.
• Contribute new ideas to the tech stack and tech and product roadmaps.
• Work in a collaborative, agile team as a key contributor.

Key Skills and Experience

• Experience writing React applications.
• Deep knowledge of HTML, CSS and browser capabilities.
• A good understanding of GraphQL, REST, CORS, fetch and other API technologies.
• Experience with collaborative API design.
• A good understanding of accessibility best-practices.
• A good understanding of testing and the associated tooling.
• A willingness and the drive to learn new things.
• Be a self-motivated, open communicator and a team player.
