Senior API Developer / Platform Engineer (PHP / Go)

About this position

We are looking for an Senior software developer to contribute to the design, development and ongoing improvement of the MadeComfy software stack. You will work on both customer facing features and internal platforms (operations and data science).

Key Areas Of Responsibility

• Write clean, modern code and deliver it to stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Monitor and analyse the success of features you deliver to production via analytics and customer feedback.
• Write tests to ensure that the code you deliver will not negatively impact the user experience.
• Document code, systems and processes.
• Contribute new ideas to the tech stack and tech and product roadmaps.
• Work in a collaborative, agile team as a key contributor.

Key Skills and Experience

• Experience writing JSON APIs and the willingness to learn GraphQL.
• A good understanding of PHP and a modern PHP7.2 compatible framework (Symfony, Laravel, etc).
• Experience with Go (or the willingness to learn it!)
• Experience of working with at least one relational database and one NoSQL database.
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS.
• Comfortable using Linux on the command line.
• A good understanding of testing.
• A willingness and the drive to learn new things.
• Be a self-motivated, open communicator and a team player.
