The Role
Our newest location in Costa Mesa is looking for an experienced Solar Sales Advisor (SSA) to help build the business from the ground up. You will be responsible for lead generation, customer acquisition and driving growth throughout Orange County. You will build a strong pipeline and execute the complete sales process from prospecting through project completion. This role requires a closer mentality combined with superior customer service skills - someone who possess drive, perseverance, organization, and discipline, along with a personality that leads to referrals.
If you prefer to work for a large company, sit back & have leads handed to you, this job is not for you! As an SSA, you are required to “hit the streets” and generate your own book of business. The SSA works independently in a collaborative environment and is 100% evaluated on performance, not hours worked.
Responsibilities
Execute volume-based lead generation strategies to include canvassing and telesales
Develop a book of business from qualified referrals and other self-generated opportunities
Help identify, plan and attend local events (farmers markets, home shows, etc.); generate prospecting lists and conduct follow-up from those events
Execute local marketing tactics to drive additional sales
Ownership of the sales-cycle from lead generation through deal submission
Use of online tools and proprietary software to analyze home, design system, create proposal, and close contracts in home utilizing paperless contract systems
Conduct 10+ appointments/week, maintaining a 40% closing rate average
Manage your pipeline and track all customers in CRM system
Attention to detail, ensuring all contract paperwork is correct and complete
Qualifications
2+ years solar sales experience with proven record of success
Outstanding lead generation and follow up skills
High level of computer proficiency and experienced with online tools prefered
CRM experience preferred with experience tracking and analyzing sales process
Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills required
Integrity, honesty, and ability to speak with all varieties of customers
Desire to work in a sustainable, cutting edge industry
Motivated by high income potential and career advancement opportunities
College degree preferred but not required
Ability to maintain flexible work schedule, including weekend and evening hours
Clean driving record, ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug test
