ActivityHero is the leading marketplace to help parents find and book children’s activities (after-school classes and camps). We help small businesses and independent teachers get more students, earn revenue, and save administrative time. We are the market leader in the SF Bay Area and our next growth region is Los Angeles.
We are looking for a motivated, outgoing person to acquire more summer camps and enrichment providers in targeted areas of Los Angeles and/or Orange County.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sales executives will be responsible for calling/emailing kids activity providers (prospects for ActivityHero marketing and registration services) and closing them as new customers
- Learn about ActivityHero services and the pain points of kids class and camp providers
- Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
- Perform effective online demos to prospects
- Achieve weekly and monthly quotas of new customers
- Maintain detailed record of phone calls and emails in CRM system (Hubspot)
Required Skills & Experience:
- 1-4 years of OUTBOUND PHONE SALES EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. Outside sales experience is a plus.
- Great at reaching the marketing decision maker in a small business
- Self-motivated and effective working independently from home
- Strong listening skills and ability to connect with customers while making dozens of calls per day
- Excellent external and internal communication skills, both oral and written
Nice to Have:
- Understand what it’s like to be a parent of school-aged kids and have searched for kids camps or classes
- Able to attend occasional in-person events in the Los Angeles or Orange County areas such as camp fairs
- Experience with Hubspot (or Salesforce)
- Advertising or SaaS sales experience
Additional details: This is a remote contractor position (US applicants only). The management team is based in San Francisco Bay Area and you will be working in Pacific time zone. Compensation is designed to be 50% base, 50% commission, with no cap on commissions.
