Role Overview:

We are seeking a curious and talented Data Engineer to join our rapidly expanding Tech Team at Zocket. As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building and optimizing our data infrastructure to support our mission of transforming digital marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop robust Data ETL Pipelines to efficiently extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
• Design and implement data set processes to analyze large, unstructured datasets and derive actionable insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and objectives, translating them into technical solutions.
• Identify and implement process improvements to automate manual tasks and enhance data quality and reliability.
• Build algorithms and prototypes to interpret trends and patterns in data, driving informed business decisions.
• Work closely with data and analytics experts to optimize our data system for greater functionality.
• Develop analytics tools and dashboards to provide key business performance metrics and insights.
• Support Executive, Product, Data, and Design teams with data-related technical issues and infrastructure needs.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering.

Key Requirements:

• 3-5 years of proven experience as a data engineer, software developer, or similar role.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in data engineering, big data analytics, computer engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and stream-processing systems like Storm and Spark-Streaming.
• Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases like Postgres and Cassandra.
• Familiarity with data pipeline and workflow management tools like Azkaban, Luigi, and Airflow.
• Hands-on experience with cloud services like AWS (EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift) and Azure, including BigQuery.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, C++, Scala, SQL, and R.
• Experience with data integration platforms like Hevo and Presto.
• Experience creating ad pipelines for platforms like Meta Platforms (Facebook) is a plus. **Location: Chennai, India
