COMPANY: SMILE (smile.com.au)
REPORTS TO: CMO
DIVISION/S: Retail Dental Cover + Corporate Dental Cover
COMMITMENT: 40hrs/wk. On each day, at least 4 hrs worked b/w 8am-5pm GMT+10 (Brisbane, Australia)

ROLE OBJECTIVES
This performance profile aims to attract a Head of Marketing at Smile with a proven track record for leading high performing marketing teams plus developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drives sales growth, enhances member retention, refines brand positioning, and ensures consistent messaging across all touchpoints. The role includes leveraging artificial intelligence tools and data analytics to optimise marketing performance to scale. Specifically, the role will be responsible for achieving aggressive new member and member retention growth targets.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  1. Sales Growth:
  2. Achieve or exceed annual new member growth targets for both Retail (68% YOY) and Corporate - Dental Cover (263% YOY).

  3. Retention Rates:

  4. Maintain or exceed member retention rate goals for Retail (85%) and Corporate (90%) dental cover.

  5. Positioning & Messaging:

  6. Ensure consistent brand positioning and messaging across all marketing channels.

  7. Team Growth & Engagement:

  8. Successfully recruit and onboard 5-10 new team members within specified timelines.

  9. Campaign Effectiveness:

  10. Increase conversion rates and lead generation metrics to achieve our aggressive growth goals.

  11. Budget Efficiency:

  12. Proactively manage an increasing budget that is tied to your ability to hit ROI targets tied to CAC and LTV targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Strategic Planning & Execution:
  2. Develop and implement quarterly marketing plans aligned with business goals.
  3. Work with company leadership to proactively report on team performance vs targets

  4. Positioning & Messaging:

  5. Developing processes to help the company get closer to our members, generating insights that improve our members’ experience and the marketing programs that attract and retain them

  6. Refine brand positioning and messaging to ensure consistency across all touchpoints.

  7. Lead the development & implementation of targeted campaigns that resonate with our target audience(s).

  8. Innovation & Embracing AI opportunities

  9. Team Leadership & Development:

  10. Recruit and onboard new team members to drive marketing initiatives.

  11. Set clear goals and KPIs for individual team members and functions.

  12. Foster a culture of motivation, collaboration & continuous improvement within the team.

  13. Implement data-driven decision-making processes to drive continuous improvement.

  14. Budget & Resource Management:

  15. Allocate & prioritise marketing budgets effectively to maximise ROI.

  16. Manage resources efficiently to support campaign execution & optimisation.

REQUIREMENTS

  3. Can be analytical, strategic, and creative when the role requires it
