Ever thought about the way we travel and how we should shake things up? This is your chance to join a Technology Department that is at the forefront of doing exactly that. As our Medior Software Engineer (Backend), you'll build on our umob platform and specifically on the API integrations with third parties, firstly for the Netherlands but soon in Europe, Asia & the US. Your work has a direct impact on the city streets. What you build today could be tested in real-life on your way home. We expect you to grow fast within umob if you have that ambition. Your next destination. Join our team if have the right drive & experience:

Hard skills:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field;
• 3+ years of experience in a Software Development role;
• Experience building third-party API integrations and/or SDKS;
• Strong (hands-on) experience in software development, systems engineering, and application architecture (our current stack is React.native, .NET, C#);
• Experience with cloud computing (Azure), databases, CI/CD pipelines & automated testing;

Bonus points for the following experiences:

• FullStack development, DevOps, observability and infrastructure automation.
• Functional programming.
• Building and scaling live products.

Softskills:

• Feels at home in a young, fun, yet entrepreneurial management team in an early startup with big potential;
• Sees building a scalable platform used by a million users worldwide as most exciting challenge, you’re not afraid to build a new wing on a flying plane;
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills. You’re a team player while being independent as the same time;
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;
• Takes ownership and initiatives, continuous learning mentality;
• Familiarity with Agile development methodology;
• Bonus points: ability to mentor junior developers and expertise within the B2c/mobility domain.
