About the role

We are looking for a hands-on engineering leader who can expertly lead Folio’s product and technology development and help us grow from 1500 to 500,000 rentals.

What you will do

• Work with CEO and product team to turn user feedback into a strategic product roadmap for new products/features and improvements to current ones
• Hire and manage a talented, fast-paced engineering team, ensuring quality and following engineering best practices for testing, code reviews, documentation, etc.
• Manage system architecture, security, and scaleability, adapting as business needs grow
• Support technical requirements for analytics, metrics reporting, etc.
• Write code yourself while team is small

What you have

• 5-10+ years of software development experience
  • Experience hiring and managing a team
  • Experience working at an early-stage start-up
  • Experience building a complete application from scratch
• Strong technical skills in full-stack web development, CS degree preferred
• Fluency with our core stack: TypeScript, Node, React, Next.js, Docker
• DevOps experience
• (bonus) Experience with other technologies we use: Nest.JS, GCP, Terraform, Storybook
• (bonus) Experience working with product teams, familiarity with UX and UI design
• (bonus) Experience working on travel and/or hospitality-related projects
