Who you are

As a DevOps Engineer at Xceed, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud-based SaaS platform. You will work closely with our development and operations teams as a trusted advisor to automate processes, manage infrastructure, and implement best practices to support our rapid growth. (to review with the Storytelling)

What will you do

• Design, implement, and maintain automated infrastructure provisioning using tools such as Terraform.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to facilitate seamless and efficient software releases (We're using Jenkins but we plan to move to Github Actions)
• Manage monitoring solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and centralized logging to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Ensure the security of our infrastructure by implementing best practices, performing regular security assessments, and staying up-to-date with security trends.
• Collaborate with the development team to scale our platform as needed to accommodate growing user demand.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and backup solutions to safeguard critical data and services.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks through monitoring, tuning, and optimization.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure, configurations, and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and external providers, to ensure smooth software delivery.

What we are looking for

• Knowledge of security features on UNIX platforms especially appreciated
• Solid experience with Microservices architecture
• Design and implementation of Docker containers (Distributed systems with Docker like Kubernetes or ECS is a bonus)
• IaC (Terraform or similar)
• CI/CD with Jenkins or similar (Gitlab/ Bitbucket Pipelines)
• Knowledge of Ansible, Puppet or similar
• Strong experience with AWS (we practically use all of this platform)
• Monitoring systems (Cloudwatch, Prometheus)
• Web Servers (Nginx/NodeJS)
• Networks (VPC, Load Balancers, API gateways, DNS and proxy servers)
• DB servers (SQL or similar) and some basic DB knowledge
• Caching Servers (Redis)
• ElasticSearch/OpenSearch
• Centralized logging with ELK Stack
• Email Servers (SES)
• CDNs and asset management
• Queue services (SQS/SNS)
• Tuning and Performance Analysis
• Experience with PHP development environment
