Position: Account Executive (AE), Federal Sales, Inkit
We are seeking proven, quota-carrying sales performers to help us grow our loyal customer base across the entire Department of Defense, including potential customers across all military services such as the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard. Responsibilities include generating new business in existing accounts, as well as playing a key role as you drive strategic, enterprise-wide initiatives within the Department of Defense. This role requires a dynamic individual who can excel in multiple areas, including:
Building and Nurturing Client Relationships:
- Potential Customers and Defense Community: Understanding and catering to the unique needs of military services and the Department of Defense.
- New Opportunities: Identifying and pursuing new opportunities using Inkit's Document Generation Platform.
- Existing Accounts: Maintaining and growing existing relationships through effective communication and tailored strategies.
Strategic Sales Planning and Execution:
- Market Understanding: Analyzing market trends and competitor landscapes to identify unique value propositions.
- Sales Plans: Developing and executing strategic sales plans that align with company goals and customer needs.
- Collaboration: Working with marketing and product development to ensure cohesive and effective sales strategies.
Data-Driven Decision Making and Performance Analysis:
- Sales Data Analysis: Utilizing data to make informed decisions, identify opportunities, and optimize performance.
- Customer Feedback: Analyzing feedback to understand customer behavior and make necessary adjustments.
- CRM Tools and Techniques: Leveraging CRM tools for tracking performance against goals and contributing to continuous improvement of Inkit's offerings and overall business strategy.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a Related Field: A master's degree or additional certifications would be considered a plus.
- Minimum of Three Years of Proven Experience in Sales or Account Management: Experience within the technology, document generation, or defense sectors is highly desirable.
- Strong Analytical and Strategic Thinking Skills: Ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop targeted sales strategies.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Experience working collaboratively with marketing, product development, and other departments to achieve company goals.
- Advanced Familiarity with CRM Tools and Data Analysis Techniques: Experience using these tools to drive sales growth, customer engagement, and performance measurement.
- Exceptional Communication and Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including military services and Department of Defense personnel. Travel my be required more than 25%.
What we are looking for:
- Industry Expertise: Experience working with the Department of Defense and across all military services, understanding the unique needs and challenges of these sectors.
- Three to Five Years of Sales Experience: Proven success in a technology or Software as a Service (SaaS) sales role, ideally within the technology industry, demonstrating the ability to grow and manage a diverse customer base.
- Strategic and Driven Approach: A self-motivated individual with a strategic mindset, dedicated to identifying and pursuing growth opportunities within the DoD community.
- Exceptional Communication and Relationship-Building Skills: You should excel in both written and verbal communication, with the ability to build and nurture relationships with potential customers across various military services.
