Researcher in Ageing Field

Actif is a startup, born in February 2021, focused on the health and well-being of older adults and people with special conditions. Our mission is to promote a more active and healthy life through our video on demand platform with exercises and activities adapted to the different physical and cognitive abilities of each one.

We are looking for a Researcher to join our R&D team and continue keeping Actif at the forefront of scientific research and keep iterating our product and value offered.

The perfect candidate would:

• Have a background in Gerontology, Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy or other pertinent health related field
• Experience in-field working directly with nursing homes, care homes and older adults
• Experience in academic research and submitting papers to scientific journals
• Experience in conducting scientific studies and applying cognitive and physical assessment scales (MMSE, MOCA, SPPB, TUG, 6MW or similar)
• Speaks english fluently (portuguese not mandatory but valued)

The tasks of this work:

• Support on managing on-going impact studies projects in order to validate the impact of our solution
• Write scientific papers and submit to journals and conferences
• Help in the design and conceptualization of new study protocols based on latest scientific literature and insights.
• Support the content team with the creation of new categories and expand our reach in terms of cognitive and physical offers based on clear benefits for our clients.
• Validate content guidelines created by content team
• Write technical documentation for regulatory bodies and product audits
• Present studies in conferences and events
