This is a part-time equity paid position. Compensation on position TBD based on funding and performance.
We are looking for an experienced corporate sustainability professional interested in joining a disruptive tech startup. While this position is currently only part-time and compensated through equity, we’re seeking driven professionals with an entrepreneurial spirit to help fabricate the foundation of this company. You are an expert at ESG, corporate social responsibility, public sector partnerships, impact investing and/or corporate sustainability. While you’re content with your current role, you seek a new and exciting opportunity with tremendous potential to dive into.
Speaking candidly, we’re looking for an experienced, talented and passionate individual to help drive this company forward. You don’t need to leave your job until we get funding but you’d be receiving equity in the meantime and working on bringing what you do inside of a company to a broader market. In other words, we need your help to disrupt this industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with founding team to develop innovative strategies for short, medium and long-term company trajectory
- Advise and assist founders with internal and external corporate sustainability and application to larger markets
- Provide technical assistance on the identification, design, and implementation of strategic partnerships between private and public sector
- Lead the development of Philanthrofi’s internal corporate sustainability strategy to improve the efficacy of the work we conduct for our clients
- Positively influence the strategic and direction of our analysis to help guide companies (our clients) in their sustainability journeys
- Develop custom advisory content to share with early adopters
- Develop important industry relationships to fulfill an early stage business development need for the company
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Sustainability, ESG, social impact or relevant field
- Knowledge or experience in corporate social responsibility (CSR) or environmental, social & governance (ESG) practices
- 6-8 Years experience working in a sustainability, social impact or ESG department
- A proven ability to identify and understand the needs and interests of varied stakeholders in the public and private sectors
- Demonstrated experience in cultivating and brokering win-win partnerships between private and public sector actors and leveraging private investment to promote economic strengthening
- Ability to work independently and effectively in an entrepreneurial environment
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Desire to be part of a social enterprise committed to improving the world
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in cultivating and brokering win-win partnerships between private and public sector actors and leveraging private investment to promote economic strengthening
- Experience working in a startup environment
- Strong knowledge of public sector engagement
- International experience working in developing countries
