The Role

The D365 Functional Consultant is responsible for our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Product and serves as a liaison between business and IT teams by facilitating communication and determining software objectives that align with business needs. This role identifies, defines and document business processes and software requirements. This role represents business needs and priorities, prioritize and manage the product backlog, and incorporate feedback from business stakeholders to guide continuous product improvement.

The incumbent, as the product owner, will work towards making the product backlog transparent, visible, and understood with an overall objective of increasing product value.

Lead the functional design, implementation, and maintenance of our D365 Finance & Operations Solutions.
Manages the D365 team directly and oversees the solution implementation and governance. Coaches and develops team members.
Obtain a deep understanding of relevant business area(s) to be able to recommend solutions and build high-quality requirements. Understand business and end-user needs; identify and prioritize features to be delivered to meet those needs.
Shape business requirements by making recommendations and suggesting alternatives to proposed solutions. Translate conceptual user requirements into clear, detailed functional requirements
Work with business and technical stakeholders to develop and document user stories and manage requirements scoping throughout the delivery process
Maximize the value of the product by assuming the product owner role. Define the product goal and be the overall custodian of the product backlog.
Prioritize and maintain the product backlog and participate in sprint planning to determine the team’s objectives for the upcoming sprint.
Participate in agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, backlog refinement, and team retrospectives; ensure the team has a clear understanding of priorities and next steps.
Lead the sprint review meeting to present the output from the sprint to key stakeholders.
Analyze feedback from sprint reviews, and other data such as end user feedback and operational metrics, to identify and understand product needs.
Work with the development team to create acceptance criteria and definitions of failures and done.
Assist the team on the development of feature tests, test cases, and regression tests.
Set expectations with business stakeholders for delivery of new capabilities, features, and functionalities.
Work closely with the Project Manager to establish and improve Agile best practices by identifying gaps and guiding development team to improve on team agility

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A ·Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related field or similar experience.

Experience

Deep experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
Hands on experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps
Experience with leading a D365 Team and acting as the D365 Product Owner
Experience in Business Analysis and Functional Consulting
A minimum of seven years of experience in IT, with at least five years in D365 Finance &Operations Functional Consulting
In-depth experience in designing and implementing business solutions together with integrations and migrations.
5+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations with general knowledge of typical ERP functions, reporting and analysis in a global organization
Product owner certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner) is a plus.
Prior experience in the Engineering design, and/or commercial industrial manufacturing industry is helpful.

KNOWLEDGE:

Ability to understand complex business problems and experience determining the explicit and implicit needs and requirements of various stakeholders.
Ability to quickly learn the objectives, structures, operations, and policies of a new business area.
Strong problem resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills.
Demonstrated ability to engage and influence both developers and business partners to achieve target outcomes.
Proven interpersonal skills and an ability to influence senior leaders and peers.
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
Experience creating documentation such as business case documentation, use case, story and acceptance criteria.
Proven Project Management skills and ability to initiate, plan and execute projects
Adaptability and a willingness to learn new skills.
Advanced knowledge of agile development methodologies and hands on with Azure DevOps.

Occasional travel may be required, as necessary; must have ability to travel across borders
