This position

We are seeking a Backend Integration Engineer to help develop scalable network applications for data stream exchange and translation between Kasisto’s “AI Brain” and our customer’s raw API endpoints.

What you will be doing

You will be part of our newly-formed Application Development Team and closely work with our clients – making a huge impact. You will significantly contribute from architectural design to the implementation layer for a scalable, data streaming application between Kasisto’s “AI Brain” and the bank’s raw API endpoints.

Eventually, you will have the opportunity to lay out the foundation of the backend integration framework from the ground up and continuously contribute to the core of KAI Banking, our conversational AI platform, changing how consumers engage with their banks.

When you are ready to stretch beyond building data streaming applications, you will have the opportunity to rotate and cross-train with any member of the team. You can shadow team members and eventually cross-train on what interests you in terms of application development in parallel – including frontend to backend development, machine learning applications to conversational reasoning design, presenting information to the end-customer, and evaluating the performance of chatbots!

What you need in this position

• 3+ years experience building Data Streaming Applications and JSON APIs based applications
• Familiarity with ReactiveX for JavaScript
• Experience with REST
• Experience with Node.js Plus
• Experience with Java or Python programming languages is also a big plus
