Lead Software Engineer - Backend

Job profile brief

Our company is seeking to hire a skilled software developer to help with the
development of our current projects. Your duties will primarily revolve around building
software by writing code, as well as modifying software to fix errors, improve its
performance, or upgrade interfaces. You will also be involved in resolving technical
issues including software system design and maintenance.
To be successful in this role, you will need extensive knowledge of programming
languages and the software development life-cycle. A bachelor's degree in computer
science or related degree is required.

Responsibilities

• Work with developer to design algorithms and flowcharts
• Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications
• Integrate software components and third-party programs
• Verify and deploy programs and systems
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software
• Recommend and execute improvements
• Will be solely responsible for the backend development

Requirements and skills

• Proven experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer or similar role with 4+ years of experience
• Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment
• Ability to learn new languages and technologies
• Good communication skills
• Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude
• Attention to detail
• Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

Technical skills

• Python, Django would be a plus and preferred
• Experience in Docker and Gitlab-CI pipelines
• Had some experience in Dev ops like AWS, Digital Ocean, Cloudflare
• Experience in database handling, PostgreSQL would be a plus and preferred
• Can play around with the data and write migration scripts
• Basic knowledge of javascript and frontend technologies (React or Angular)
