Platform Engineer (Mid-Level)

This is a mid-level position with opportunity for advancement to a Sr Platform Engineer or Technical Architect position. You must have enough proven work experience and confidence in your technical abilities in order to hit the ground running with client projects. Solid Terraform skills are required.

The ideal candidate should be eager to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment servicing multiple end clients, and must be comfortable with the independence and accountability required when working for a remote company. Role
As a Platform Engineer, you will help our existing clients create, implement and maintain a variety of PaaS solutions. You will leverage your expertise to help maintain and improve these applications, ensuring high rates of availability, preventing downtime and offering optimizations.

**Responsibilities

• Architect solutions to be deployed into AWS
• Build and maintain CI/CD solutions for both application and infrastructure delivery
• Utilize Terraform to ensure state is consistent
• Define and establish security guidelines
• Ensure systems are operational
• Work with developers to improve their experience publishing changes
• Ensure alerting and support requirements are met
• Work with project managers to ensure business and development needs are met

**Job Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

• At least 2 or more years working on Linux operating systems.
• At least 2 or more years working on Windows operating systems.
• Proven experience with Amazon AWS
• Proven experience utilizing Terraform to produce infrastructure
• Experience with orchestration platforms including: EKS, ECS
• Experience with Helm
• Ability to script in Python and Bash

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with Ansible, Kubernetes, CloudFormation, SaltStack or other DevOps toolsets
• Experience working with Jenkins, Teamcity Builder, CircleCi, Travis or other build toolsets
• Experience with large scale clustering and multi node deployments
