Senior Data Architect

Salad and Go (“S&G”) operates small drive-thru-only locations and serves a streamlined menu in order to offer the lowest possible prices—$5.74 for salads or wraps with protein. We also do breakfast: $1 organic cold brew and five different $2.99 breakfast burritos, made with real eggs, an all-natural tortilla, and served with house-made salsa. Plus, all of our items are original creations of our Michelin award-winning chef, Chef Patino.

You’ll be a good fit if you’re an expert in data ingestion, transformation, and cataloging. You communicate clearly and succinctly, deliver solutions to solve business needs, and possess deep technical breadth and knowledge. You love collaborating and working with stakeholders to deliver data architecture that operates at speed and scale.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement and optimize our data ingestion, transformation, and cataloging pipeline
• Deploy updates of data models to our cloud infrastructure
• Partner with our engineering, BI, and product teams to support company goals
• Have deep understanding of data compliance and security topics
• Drive our best practices for data schemas in distributed and concurrent systems

Basic Qualifications

• BS level technical degree required; Computer Science or Mathematics background preferred AND strong technical experience
• 5+ years of experience as Data Architect in creating data warehousing, data lakes, and data marts
• Experience and expertise with cloud-based ETL pipelines
• Solid experience working with complex data in SQL/NoSQL
• Proficiency with Data Modeling experience (e.g, Relational, Dimensional, Columnar, Big Data etc.)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, specifically the ability to translate complex issues into clear concepts

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Big Data technologies (e.g, AWS EMR, Snowflake, Spark, Hadoop, Redshift, Hive, Pig etc.)
• Experience in programming languages (Python or Bash scripting)
• Experience with Power BI and Tableau
