Medium/ Senior Full Stack Mobile Application Developer

GeeGee is on mission to encourage a more active youth by providing them with a fresh new way of playing physical sporting games with their friends.

With sport participation on the decline and a global inactivity crisis plaguing the world. Technology is the answer. Mini physical games (we call them MicroSports) are the modern evolution of sport but have yet to be properly defined or given their own platform to thrive. By combining the elements of sport and gaming we seek to provide a mixed reality experience that encourages people to get off the couch.

We're looking for a Mid- to Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our team. You'll be taking charge to bring GeeGee from Beta to Launch and scale. About the role

Engineering at GeeGee is focused on delivering an experience that aligns to our mission.

In this role, you will work closely with our Founder as we establish the technical function together of the business and how we can deliver on our mission.

Typical activities in your week may include:

• Establishing and improving engineering standards, tooling, and processes across product teams.
• Working with the wider team - Stakeholders, Designers and Product to define engineering strategy, and conceptualize and build new features.
• Getting your hands dirty and writing excellent clean and tested code
• Researching and advising on technology choices and industry best practices.
• Interviewing new joiners, onboarding new technical hires and defining hiring plans.
• Lead the companies DevOps & Solution architecture

About you

You'll have 4+ years experience, you're a Mid-level Developer looking to take the next step or currently a Senior developer with a passion for coding and a track record of developing high quality products that have been successful. Plus, a real focus on engineering principles and enjoy staying at the forefront of new technologies.

You have previously worked in a small leadership function and are ready to take your skills to the next level.

You are interested in physical activity/ sport and at the core have a determination of wanting to do good by people.

You'll be familiar with a wealth of technologies and frameworks. The core ones being React Native, Java, PostgreSQL and AWS.

You'll have a history of delivering high quality products. Working across the business to distill requirements, working with designers, project managers, marketeers and other developers to create products that deliver impact.

What we are looking for:

• 4+ years of engineering experience,
• You have a strong passion for coding and a track record of developing high quality products from conception to production
• A real focus on engineering principles, software and systems architecture across the full stack of technologies and love to stay on top of them
• You have a passion for coaching, mentoring and building teams.
• As we grow rapidly, you will need to instill excellent technical best practices, like peer reviews, and improve the development team
• You are interested in connecting the real and digital world, physical activity and video and have an interest in video and AR/mixed reality
• You are experienced along the full stack of technologies from ReactNative, Java, PostgresSQL to DevOps topcis like AWS, Github, CI/CD tools, and analytics
• You are comfortable working across the business to distill requirements, working with designers, product managers, marketeers and developers to create products that deliver impact.
